Good morning!  I've got a card for the new Crafty Friends challenge; our sponsor is Cedar Chest Designs and we would like to see bling on your card.

I picked the image "Love Grows Here" to use today...thank you to Cedar Chest Designs!  I've colored the image with pencils then spritzed it with chocolate ink to shabby it up a bit.  The papers are distressed and I've added some subtle bling.

Good morning!  It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight, Angelique has chosen our challenge and it is "Things with Wings".

I was tempted to go with a chick, but went with a butterfly instead.  The sketch is from Sparkle and Sprinkle.  The butterfly is paper pieced and I've done a bit if distressing and added pearls for embellishing.

Do you remember the Cabbage Patch Kids craze?  That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this image!  She is colored with pencils and her eyes are dotted with a black gel pen.  I've done a bit of distressing and embellished with some buttons/floss.

No Designer Paper!

Good morning!  We have a new challenge for you from Creative Card Crew...for this fortnight we would like to see a card without designer paper.

I don't know about you, but what comes to my mind is a clean and simple card.  I thought I'd go with red/white/blue since the 4th is just around the corner...then I decided to try coloring on Kraft...just for something different!  I've added some glitter to the chick's hatband and sparkler, along with some nice and sparkly glitter CS.  I played around with some sparkly star die cuts, but decided to just leave it super simple.

I went with a Bugaboo sock monkey...I seem to have a weakness for monkeys!  The image is colored with pencils and I've added some subtle glitter to the stars and stripes.  I've embellished simply with buttons and twine.  I like the twist of the Bermuda Bay with the red/white/blue!

Good morning!  It's Clearly Digi Stamps June Release time.  I have 2 sets to showcase today.  Father's Day Heroes and Summer Fun.  The new store is up and running, so be sure to stop by and check things out!

My first card uses a pre-colored image from Father's Day Heroes.  I paired it with an old MFT sketch and used some fun boy themed papers from my stash.  The image is printed, cut out, and adhered to the main panel.  I've added a banner, die cut stars, and brads for embellishing.  The cool round/star die cut is a Spellbinder's die given to me by my crafty/swapping friend, Heather.  Thank you Heather!  I think this card will go to my son who turns 13 tomorrow...he is my superstar for sure!

Next I have a CAS card using Summer Fun.  I used Retro Sketches #65.  I printed, colored, cut out, and popped up the beach ball.  I was lucky enough to find some DP that reminded me of waves.  I used a sentiment from CDS Carnival Kids and added some orange, sparkly Bella Dots.

Favorite Color Combo

The ladies at the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog have a fun, new challenge...Use Your Favorite Color Combo.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St. Dennis, and he has generously allowed me to pick the beautiful Eve to work with.  I think Eve is beautiful...a bit different than what I normally work with...thank you, Rick!

Eve is colored with pencils and I have paired her with some elegant Echo Park DP.  I've distressed my papers and embellished with ribbon, leafy swirls and pearls.  I wanted the image to take center stage.  As far as my favorite color combo...it was a bit hard...I knew I would pick pink, but there are so many different great color combos to choose from.  The pink/green combo here is a bit more subdued than what I would normally choose, but I like it for a fun change.

Inchies

Good morning!  We have a new challenge for you from Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight Jennifer has chosen our challenge theme...inchies!  I have to admit that this was quite the challenge for me...I ended up tearing my card apart and re-working it before I was satisfied.  I guess that's why it is called a "challenge"!

I immediately thought of my DeNami chicks since they are so tiny.  The images are stamped, colored, and die cut with Spellbinder's dies.  I added some distressing and pearls for embellishing.

CHILL OUT!

Good morning!  It's time for another fun sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches; in addition to the sketch, this is a judged challenge and we have a twist...make it masculine.  Our sponsor is Raisin Boat and they sent me a fun set called "It's a Guy Thing Again"...it includes a cool assortment of "manly" stamps/sentiments.  Thank you to Raisin Boat!

I made a "little man" card today...it's all about chilling out with a bottle of ice cold ginger ale!  I've colored the image with pencils...I really wanted to added some glitter to the ice but I didn't go there!  LOL  I did a bit of distressing and added some brads for embellishing.  I used MFT's Grosgrain Texture Board on the green banners...they have a nice, subtle texture.

Good morning!  I've got a card and a new sketch to share with you from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I used one of the fun C.C. Designs Meoples and went with a CAS look.  The image is stamped three times, on DP, Kraft, and white CS.  The cupcake wrapper is embossed and adhered to the DP, and the main image is adhered on top of the "confetti" cupcake.  I've added some punched shapes and mini brads for embellishing.

You're Sun-Sational!

Good morning!  Today is an exciting day as it marks the first challenge of a new challenge blog...
Crafty Friends Challenge Blog!  A few changes were made to the former Forever Friends Challenge Blog, hence the new name.  Please stop by to check things out; there will be weekly challenges...we do hope you will play along!

For our first challenge, our sponsor is MilkCoffee.  I am using an adorable image called "Tiffany swimming in the beach wearing bikini"...thank you to MilkCoffee!

Tiffany is colored with pencils...as you can see, she has remembered her sunscreen!  I hope you will too!  I've used some very old papers from my stash...I thought they were a perfect fit for the image...and done a bit of sponging on the edges.  I embellished with a die cut sentiment/ribbon, and a die cut flower embellished with glitter.

Image: MilkCoffee
Sentiment: Kraftin' Kimmie
Ink: Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, PTI Chai
Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Kraft, SU! Poppy Parade and Old Olive, Making Memories DP
Embellies: Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter, Kraft Grosgrain Ribbon
Extras: Prismas/Crayolas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Ribbon Slide Die, MFT Die-namics Hibiscus Die, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I hope you will check out the rest of the DT's creations.

I combined our challenge with a few others...I was going for pink, girly, flowers, ribbon, and a sentiment:

Crafting with Dragonflies: One for the Girls
Crafty Ribbons Challenge: Anything Goes with Ribbon
Digi Sketch Challenge: Cute (T)
Fab 'n' Funky: For the Girls
MilkCoffe Challenge: Load on the Flowers
Papertake Weekly: Sketchie Free for All (amazing sketch!)
Sassy Studio Designs: Hit the Beach
Sentimental Sundays: Outdoor Fun
The Perfect Sentiment: Make Them Laugh
Use it Tuesdays: Anything Goes---hoarded stash is Making Memories DP

On a serious note....  My Mother was recently diagnosed with melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer; this meant surgery ASAP!  I'm not talking a "little biopsy", I'm talking a "wide excision"...a large, deep incision...and a large scar to go with it.  She was lucky it was caught early, so no lymph nodes are involved.  Her diagnosis also means full body checks every 3 months with the Dermatologist, plus notifying her Optometrist and Gynecologist.  Yep, you read that right...Optometrist and Gynecologist!  I'm a nurse and I didn't know it would involve all that....  It is important that her siblings and children be screened as well.  I have my appointment scheduled....  So, please protect yourself...use your sunscreen!

Thanks for stopping by; have a relaxing weekend!
