I'm Just a Phone Call Away....

Good morning!  I'm here with a new challenge from the ladies at Creative Card Crew...we would like to see some bling!

As I was contemplating what to make, I decided to go a bit understated instead of full blown bling.  I used glittery CS and just a touch of bling.  I used my all-time favorite...Swarovski flatbacks...they are so sparkly and gorgeous in real life!  I used a stamp/die set from MFT that I had in my stash and paired it with some vintage style paper.

Sentiment: MFT "Ring Me"
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, The Paper Studio Black Glitter CS, Cosmo Cricket "UPcycle"
Embellies: Swarovski Flatback Crystals
Extras: MFT "Ring Me" Dienamics Dies

I hope you will head on over to the Creative Card Crew to check out what the rest of the ladies have created.  Play along for a chance to win a prize from Scrapping Center!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Morning Margaret

Or should I say Crabby Margaret?  LOL  I made this one, just for fun, after I saw a few challenges I wanted to play along with.  Margaret is colored with pencils; the darker parts of her dress and her slippers are accented with a subtle glitter, but I was unable to capture that in the photo.  The black banner is embossed with a "clock" pattern.

Image/Sentiment: Bugaboo Digital Stamp
Ink: Printer
Paper: G.P. 110, PTI Berry Sorbet and True Black, Little Yellow Bicycle DP
Embellies: Spare Parts Brads, Recollections Brads (mini), Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter
Extras: Prismas/Goo Gone, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, The Paper Studio Embossing Folder, The Paper Studio Sticky Doos

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Catch the Bug: BINGO (I used bottom row: embossing, glitter, designer paper)
CCEE Stampers: In the Kitchen
JellyPark Challenges: Make us laugh or smile.

I used last week's Sketch Saturday sketch, but posted too late.  It was a great sketch and I see my friend Linda was the winner...how cool is that?!

Good morning!  We, at Tuesday Morning Sketches, have a new sketch for you to try.  Our sponsor this week is Clearly Digi Stamps; I went with Oliver Ostrich.  The set includes outlines, pre-colored images, sentiments, and 4 coordinating DPs...there's definitely something for everyone!

I combined a pre-colored image with a sentiment before printing, and chose a coordinating DP.  I embellished simply with ribbon and a button/Swarovski Crystal combo.

Clearly Digi Stamps April Release!

Good morning!  Today is the day for Clearly Digi Stamps newest release and we have got so many great new sets!  I am working with 2 of them today; Backgrounds II and What's Cooking.

For my first card, I have used Austin Owens Backgrounds II and paired the DP with a sentiment from her Zinneas set.  I've added some hand rolled felt flowers and Swarovski crystals.

For my second card, I have used What's Cooking?  Isn't this little chef darling?  I used a pre-colored image and paired him with some fun paper that I found in my stash.  I added some twill, a charm, and brads...he's even got some tiny brads on his jacket front!

I hope you will check out what the rest of the team has created to inspire you...they have outdone themselves!

Hey Sugar

Good morning!  We have a fun, new sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches...I hope you will give it a try!

I went with black/white and a pop of color...thought it would be fun to do something different.  I like how the  mostly uncolored image pairs with the DP.  I've added some glitter to the black piece of candy, along with some black crystals for some extra sparkle.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select, SU! Melon Mambo, Echo Park DP, and PTI DP

Good morning!  It's Tuesday so that means we have a new sketch for you over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Our sponsor for the week is Bugaboo...I always love it when they sponsor...had a great time looking for an image to suit the sketch.  Thank you to Bugaboo for this cute cupcake border!

The cuppies are colored with pencils and the cherries have a bit of glitter on them.  I used Doodlebug sugar coated CS for the banner and oval, and embellished it simply with a candle, twine, and tag.  If you look closely, you will see 2 tiny brown brads at the top of the banner.

Good morning!  We have a new challenge for you from the ladies at Ruby's Rainbow; for this fortnight Helen has chosen the challenge and it is "Birthday".  I don't know about you, but I always need more birthday cards for my stash.  I decided to go with a "man card" and chose Bugaboo's Gus to work with...the guy is a hoot!

The image is colored with pencils and Gus' eyes are dotted with a black gel pen.  (How do you like his snazzy boxers?)  I've done some simple matting and used stars and a few black crystals for embellishing.  The fun sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

CAS: And the day came....

Good morning!  We have got another fun challenge for you over at Tuesday Morning Sketches; our sponsor for the week is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, so in addition to the sketch we would like to see a clean and simple card.  Sounds like a fun challenge, right?!

I decided to use white with cream accents.  I did a bit of scoring, added a vellum strip topped with a banner, followed by a layered sentiment, and embellished with a felt flower and pearls.  I am liking the white/cream combo for a change of pace.  (I had a hard time getting a good photo...I was trying to capture the detail of the scoring and the vellum.  Does anyone have any tips on photographing white cards?  I would love it if you would share your knowledge...thank you!)

Sentiment: Verve Stamps
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Rain, rain, go away....

I had fun making this card!  I printed the image multiple times so I could paper piece Patsy's raincoat, boots, and umbrella.  The other portion of the image is colored with pencils and her eyes are dotted with a black gel pen.  I let the cute cloud DP do the work for me and embellished simply with ribbon, Bella Baubles, and diecut clouds.
